SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST HARDY BOYS CASEFILES 120
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Simon Pulse (01 February, 1997)
Average review score:

OK but not the best. It's not the best hardy boys book out there. Most of the action takes place in the desert, unlike the fast-paced city action that makes the other books stand out. They have a firm idea of who did it at an early place in the book, and there's no real suprise villain in the end. As for excitement it's ok but not as good as Dead on Target or Power Play.

The Swamp Monster (Hardy Boys Mystery Stories, No 83)
Published in Paperback by Pocket Books (December, 1989)
Average review score:

Hardys in TexasGreed for ois and timber, giant alligators, killers, and death threats. Just another Hardy Boys book. I recommend it to all fans of the Hardy Boys series.

Nancy and the Hardy Boys are in San Fransisco.Nancy and George are in San Fransisco to protect violinist Soong An from kidnappers. They meet up w/ Frank and Joe at the airport. The boys are in San Fransisco to stop a saboteur at the university. Frank spends the book crushing on Soong An while Nancy is jealous. It's a good book. Don't miss it!

Tattooing the Invisible Man
Published in Paperback by Hardy Marks Pubns (September, 1996)
Average review score:

learning about a great manThis book features outtakes from a journal by Sailor Jerry. Itproves that he was not only a terrific tattoo artist, but also a manwith an intellectually stimulating mind. I was amazed at how his sence of humor jumped out of the pages and laughed out loud more than a few times. I am sure that if you love the art of tattooing you would love to hear the quips that Mr. Collins puts in this amazing book! END

Thomas Hardy's Return of the Native (Barron's Book Notes)
Published in Paperback by Barrons Educational Series (October, 1984)
Average review score:

A One of a KindThis book brings out strong emotion. "Return of the Native" demonstrates how some of the people in today's world enter into relationships only for their personal benefit. It brings on the desire to read more of the book. As a student in school, we are studying the book. The book, along with the movie, tends to draw the attention of those who watch it, bringing on true interest. I would really recommend this book.

Tropical Garden Style with Hardy Plants
Published in Paperback by Sterling Publications (October, 2002)
Average review score:

Thorough book, but geared for the UKWhat wasn't apparent to me when I ordered this book was that the information was written for the British gardener. The hardiness information ("half hardy", "fully hardy", etc.) is useful in the UK, but hardiness in some plants can vary greatly between the two continents. Having said that, the book does have a thorough list of plants and is well organized. It is useful to the American gardener for plant ideas and general inspiration, but hardiness will have to be checked independently.

Uncivil War (Hardy Boys Casefiles, No 52)
Published in Turtleback by Demco Media (May, 1991)
Average review score:

A good book for kids. The Hardy boys are in Tennessee reenacting the Battle of Shiloh. We're in for some history, not to mention mystery and excitement when the historian that invited them gets shot down with real bullets.

Under the Greenwood Tree: A Rural Painting of the Dutch School (Penguin Classics)
Published in Paperback by Penguin USA (Paper) (February, 1999)
Average review score:

Excellent characterizations!Thomas Hardy's family had a long history as players of instrumental music in the local church, and here Hardy creates an entertaining novel involving a fictional church choir.
The characterizations and dialogue of his "Mellstock Quire" are detailed and interesting. The plot includes some very funny scenes--with the scene involving the visit to the vicar being among the best.
You'll also find something in this book that you'll never see again--a Hardy novel with a (relatively) happy ending!

The Viking's Revenge (Hardy Boys Casefiles , No 124)
